2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE – FULL SIZE CAPACITY WITH FULL SIZE COMFORT General Motors Philippines recently introduced the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe and is comprehensively redesigned and delivers a sharper, more precise driving feel, more power with improved fuel economy, increased interior refinement and improved quietness and enhanced safety and security. The 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe is built on GM’s new full-size SUV platform, which incorporates features such as a new, fully boxed fame, coil-over-shock front suspension, rack-and-pinion steer, ring and an all new premium interior that bolsters the vehicle’s comfort, quality and capability. Wider front and rear tracks enhance handling and lower the center of gravity for a more confident road feel. SOLID AND QUIET Chevrolet Tahoe’s engineers paid extensive attention to detail to ensure a quiet driving experience. It starts with a new, stiffer frame, which reduces vibrations transmitted to the passenger cabin. Noise-reducing components and materials are used throughout the body structure. The engine also features a quiet-tuned alternator and an acoustically ned engine cover that dramatically reduces engine noise heard inside the vehicle. The Chevrolet Tahoe’s improved aerodynamics, streamlined exterior mirrors and roof rack, tighter body gap tolerances, makes it quieter as it slices through the air. Its quietness and smoothness are complemented by capabilities full-size SUV customers depend on, as it offers up to 6,500 pounds (2960 kg) of towing capability. IMPROVED EFFICIENCY The new generation VORTEC 5.3L V8 engine offers more power than comparable powertrains with 320 horsepower and 340 lb.-ft. of torque offering. Fuel-saving ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT^TM technology also enables better fuel economy and delivers power when you need it. In situations where power is not needed, such as cruising down the highway on level roads, ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT^TM deactivates four of the eight cylinders with seamless precision, and is reactivated to provide 8-cylinder operation when needed. SAFETY AND SECURITY The 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe features a 360-degree perimeter safety system of occupant protection and crash avoidance technologies. Dual Front and Head-Curtain Side Airbags NEW head-curtain side airbags for all rows help reduce the risk of injuries to all outboard occupants in certain side impacts. These cover all rows and are designed to stay inflated in the unlikely event of a roll-over to help reduce the risk of ejection. StabiliTrak Electronic Control System This improves vehicle stability, particularly during emergency maneuvers. The StabiliTrak automatically intervenes when it senses loss of lateral traction, under-steer or over-steer. The system applies break pressure and, if necessary, adjusts engine torque to help get the vehicle back on track. Also included is the Proactive Roll Avoidance, which reduces the tendency to roll over in an emergency situation. Safety Cage Enhancements The high-strength galvanized-steel safety cage demonstrates an excellent balance between mass, noise and vibration, and crashworthiness and corrosion. NEW Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist This uses sensors located in the rear bumper to detect certain stationary objects up to 2.5 meters behind the vehicle while traveling in reverse at low speed. GM Oil Life System The patented GM Oil-Life System helps take the guesswork out of when to change your oil , while also helping to protect the environment from unnecessary oil changes. The vehicle’s system predicts the vehicle’s oil life and indicates when a change in necessary.
